Using this website

This website is provided by North Yorkshire Web Design (formerly FAC Systems), based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. By using it, you agree to these terms. The content, design and code of this site belong to us, except for client work shown in the portfolio, which belongs to the respective clients — please don't copy or reuse either without asking.

Web design work

Where these terms apply to a website we've built or are building for you, the following applies unless we've agreed something different in writing:

• ✓Pricing quoted is a one-off cost for the agreed design and build. Work outside the agreed scope (extra pages, significant revisions after sign-off, new features) is treated as additional and quoted separately before we start.
• ✓Sites are set up on your own hosting and domain accounts by default, so the finished site, its domain and its hosting account belong to you — not us.
• ✓Hosting, domain registration and any third-party services (payment providers, booking systems, email providers) are separate contracts between you and those providers — we help you set them up, but we're not the provider and don't control their pricing, uptime or terms.
• ✓The optional monthly hosting & updates plan can be cancelled at any time; you can move to self-managed hosting whenever you'd prefer.

Liability

We build sites carefully and test them before launch, but we can't guarantee a website will be free of every possible fault, or that third-party services it depends on (hosting, payment processing, email delivery) will always be available. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any issue is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
